This translates into something being done well. In this case, it’s the food. We started with the almost clichéd Aussie Chinese dish of honey king prawns. While some may argue it’s a travesty, we do like it now and then and so we have it occasionally. This was one of those times and we’re glad we did. There were plenty of big plump prawns in a nice thin golden batter. They had a lovely sticky honey coating too. It all combined so well.
Visited Chiu Chou Garden after seeing all the good reviews. And we were not disappointed. Ordered the set menu for 4, which is good value for money. all good portion and very delicious. Fast and friendly service. Want to try lunch menu next time
Absolutely loved the quality and taste of the food and friendly staff. I ordered the beef and black bean (one of my old time favourites) and it was one of the best tasting ones I have had in a very very long time. Staff where very friendly and welcoming. Loved it
After a couple of disappointments over the Easter weekend I didn’t hold out much home this would be a winner, boy was I wrong.<br An old school unpretentious Chinese restaurant serving Teow Chew Chiu Chou style dishes. I’m not going into history geography lesson to explain the finer intricacies but suffice to say we were pleasantly surprised!<br <br Has the lunch special dishes of beans with mince, soy duck w tofu, seafood omelette with preserve radish black bean fish with tofu. Simple food done perfectly. What you’d notice straight away is that the food is hardly oily, good for all you dieting folks!<br <br We’d definitely come back again.
An affordable and homely Chinese restaurant which serves great Cantonese home cooked dishes. The food here had perfect flavour and the service was very efficient and genuine. Seafood was fresh and all dishes had a great balance of flavours and weren’t too oily.
