Contribuisci feedbackI had a reservation here on a Sunday evening at 6pm and the experience was disappointing due to understaffed. I'd be willing to be understanding unless this is not a booking only venue. On the day I came (I dont know about any other days , Jongga Jip 2nd is open for booking customers only, meaning the restaurant is in control of number of people dining in and can easily adjust their resource. However, there was only 1 FOH staff to take care of 5 tables downstairs and a few more tables upstairs. Even though the staff was nice and tried his best (I actually felt bad for him , but I couldn't accept that I had to wait at least 15min for the menus, and then another 10min when I ask for BBQ sauce (he brought the meat but not the sauce?! . And there was issue with the BBQ stove and I couldn't find the staff anywhere, I waited 20-30min (the meat was half cooked and the food went cold for him to come and fix it for us. In the mean time, people in other tables were no different, everyone were trying to call the staff hopelessly. When the rush hour was over, the staff tried to offer us soft drinks and was nicely asking us if we needed anything else but my friends and I were almost finished our meal (with disappointment . I hope the owner/ the management would allocate their resource better and provide better customer service.
I had BBQ with my friend on a Sunday evening. We already booked a table. There were about 5 tables downstairs and some tables upstairs but only 1 wait staff. This resulted in delayed services since he had to take care so many tables... We had to wait for the menus, then the grill for the meat, then we have to ask him for the sauce and side dishes that supposed to come with the meal. Other people also desperately press the call button to be served.We had BBQ but there 's problem with the stove as the fire was out twice and we have to wait for more than 15 mins though we had press the call button several times and call him ourselves. At the end of our dinner, he compensated us for 3 cans of soft drinks and ask us if we need anything else... Anyway no hard feelings on the waiter but the restaurant should estimate the amount of guests and have more staffs. It would be understandable if there were a lot of customers coming unexpectedly but they specifically told us that restaurant is just for booking tables in advance in order to control the number of customers.
I had the KBBQ option here. The service was EXTREMELY slow and we asked for water 3 times before they actually gave us water. It was also extremely difficult for them to change the hotplate and we had 3 different waiters come to us before finally one came. Normally I am not too fussy with service but it was annoying that I had to ring it 3 times before they bothered. Now onto the food! Food was average all round. The seafood pancake lacked flavour. Wagyu Meat Set was kinda pricey but the meat tasted fresh and tasted good. We got one of the special pork belly sets which was pretty tasty. The selection of side dishes was pretty good as well and they allowed for refills. Basically food was great but you risky having crappy service. I noticed a few of the reviews pointing towards this as well.
Staffs are rude. Food is little shop specs and over priced. Bad atmosphere thanks to rude workers could make much better place if they teach their staffs some manners. Don't understand why they are making so much noise cleaning the table and serving food? Pretty much throwing food that's being served on the table. Wasn't even busy but that's how they serve food? And they want your hard earn money at restaurant price? Than at least act like one. I hate poor serviced restaurants and charge fairly high price because they decorated their shop so it give you rights to be rude to your customers and over charge your average tasting food? No thanks never again.
A really good Korean restaurant. Vast options for your eating out. Free side dishes with plenty of Korean Kimchi. Korean BBQ is fantastic. Open till late, until 11PM. Very crowded at weekend. Avoid going there from 7:00PM to 8:00PM if you don't want to wait in a long queue.
