With no glowing options available at the airport, Sumo Salad was the brightest light when flying out of domestic. Look a little harder and you'll see that these guys actually do a few cook-to-order meals, and at breakfast, it was welcoming to find something healthy beyond the display cabinets showing options with their morning prep time unknown. <br/ <br/ The coffee isn't too bad, although not spectacular. I opted for the chai berry quinoa breakfast bowl. Sadly, no chai, but this is one of the best options I've had at the airport which wasn't all bread, bacon or cheese. It comes with a delicious granola, a few scattered strawberries and some yoghurt. And the serving size was quite filling.
Was expecting to be ripped off with airport prices, but pleasantly surprised to get two chicken and avocado toasted sandwiches for $10.95. In hindsight I'm sure I only asked for one. Anyhoo, in this case it was a bargain. The bread was a very bearable mixed grains, large too. Just needs more salt (but that could be the old man in me).
Delicious salads. Tasty new almond milk drinks and sandwiches. I always get a SumoSalad whenever I can. Unfortunately a bit pricey but other than that I highly recommend it.
