The kids have the noodle version to share while the missus had the braised beef noodle. We also had the snack pack to share: selected the deep fried chicken, squid rings squid balls. Fried chicken was the best of the lot with the squid balls a close second. We didn’t care for the squid rings as felt rather chewy/rubbery, can’t fault the batter, just the insides. Everyone went home happy and satisfied!!<br/ <br/ Been to their other establishments too and I def recommend the drinks as well.<br/
Ordered the popular braised pork mince rice, and immediately regretted as it’s quite oily by it nature. The taste is decent, but not that it was as good as I expected, for all those appraisals I’d read. The fried chicken snack is great, 4 dollar for a 10 dollar like dish which is absolutely getting bang for your buck. Taro tea is good and looks pretty cute.
Tea Plus is one of my regularly frequented restaurants in Burwood. I enjoyed everything I’ve ordered there, especially love their braised beef noodle soup and they serve one of the best braised pork mince rice in Burwood.
+3 standard starting points for food<br/ +1 great value<br/ +1 great food<br/ 5: a staple<br/ <br/ Absolute must try:<br/ Pork Sauce on Rice<br/ Beef Noodle Soup<br/ <br/ Either one of these two dishes make up my staple order every time. It’s simple and hearty. For the pork sauce on rice I usually go for the small, as their serving size is pretty filling. <br/ <br/ Noise level: loud music
Teaplus probably gets most of its hype from the plant milk tea which I’ve tried in the past and enjoyed the froth at the top is a bit salty so defs recommend having the whole drink together which is a delicious combo. There’s a lot of different flavours to choose from as well! Decided to try the grapefruit yoghurt tea which is essentially grapefruit flavoured tea with calpis water and found it super refreshing (gr8 option for those lactose intolerant people out there or if you’re just after something more fruity
