Contribuisci feedback11/10/23. We were so happy we could get a table on a Friday night while a Pétanque tournament in town. They have about 10 tables upstairs they usually don't need but did open tonight, I had their gourmet hamburger snd hubby got shrimp, scallops with pasta. All was good.
After not going for a year or so it hasn't improved. Mediocre food at ridiculous prices and the obligatory poor service. Just back from a two-week trip to Europe and we experienced none of the nonsense American restaurants subject you to. Slow service, disinterested servers, food that is not as good as takeout from a grocery store and premium prices. Time to close up shop and sell to an interested owner.
If you are In Fernandina be sure to make a reservation and dine at Joe's. The food is wonderful and the staff perfect. Steak Diane melts in your mouth. Glazed salmon was awesome. Ahi tuna martini- an appetizer that could be a meal. Very nice wine options by the glass.
Joe's is definitely the place to have a relaxing evening on the patio with some fresh delicious seafood. We came on Sunday evening and Jonathan was our server. He went over the daily specials that sounded delicious and gave us good recommendations on entrees. We started with the crab stuffed shrimp. Nicely baked with fresh taste over tomatoes. My boyfriend loved them. I had the grouper and asked for all veggies, which Jonathan kindly allowed me to do. My boyfriend had the shrimp and grits and said they were delicious .. I had a taste of the grits and I've had many shrimp and grits and the flavor was mouthwatering. My friends got the filet with shallot butter-she said was great but the filet could have been more seasoned. My other friend ordered the duck and it looked amazing and he ate it all. Overall, great outside atmosphere and the tables aren't too close to each other with a beautiful fountain and patio adorned with plants and honeysuckle. Definitely will be returning!
The place is closed permanently. It is an empty building that is for sale. No notice on the door or anything.
