Hokkaido Japanese Steakhouse - Findlay

A tip for future visitors: the Japanese beers are quite large—more like 2 to 2.5 regular glasses of beer. I couldn't finish mine! We arrived before the dinner rush, so the place was fairly quiet at first, but even as it got busier, the staff continued to check on us regularly. The sushi chefs also shared smiles with our son. As for the sushi, it was delicious! We had a spider roll, rainbow roll, dragon roll, mango roll, another one that I can't remember the name of (it had a turtle theme), and a veggie roll. We would love to return for another meal.

We had a late dinner on a Thursday night around 8 PM. The food was outstanding, and the service was quite prompt. Our server was very polite and attentive to my food allergy. The only reason I wouldn’t rate it five stars is that the restaurant could have been a bit cleaner. Our table was somewhat sticky, and there was some random trash on the floor and around our table. It wasn't a major issue, though. Overall, we were very pleased with our dining experience.

This is my favorite hibachi restaurant! The food is fantastic, and the portions are very generous. The service is excellent too, with little to no waiting time. I recommend making reservations for larger groups and during holidays. While we've managed without reservations in the past, I think it’s a considerate gesture for the staff and guarantees you’ll have a spot for your gatherings.

This restaurant was struggling in the past, but with the new management, things have really improved. The place is much cleaner now, and the sushi service is actually quick—no more waiting for the one-armed sushi chef! The waitstaff is also faster and friendlier. The food is tasty, and they are once again offering daily half-off specials.

I always enjoy the half-price sushi, whether I order to go or dine in. The only reason I didn't give a full 5 stars is because one of the waitresses isn't very good. She refused to split our check, and the service is often slow, even though it’s usually not that busy.
