My favorite. A pretty restaurant, in the shade under the tamarisk trees and opposite the beach. Everything is perfect, the service, the delicious dishes and the reasonable prices for excellent quality. I always go back there and with great pleasure. One word: amazing! after a long hike from Plakias we enjoyed our meal at Mesogeios restaurant cafe. Food was beyond fresh, the plate presentation was a true pleasure for the eyes. as for the service it was perfect and what to say about the location, across the street from the beach. you might also end up with a pleasant surprise at the end of your meal : raki and dessert. Have had lunches here the past few days. The selection of fresh fish is great. We had prawns and sardines which were grilled on the barbecue. The apaki (pork in vinegar) starter is out of this world, as is the beetroot salad. But would happily eat anything on the menu. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €10–15

A good taverna on Damnoni beach. Accordingly, it is designed and equipped for tourists. The service, the service and the ambience were great and typical for tourist areas. It's nice to sit outside in the shade of dense trees. The lunch dishes are plentiful and varied, but the selection of Cretan tapas, i.e. smaller starters, is rather limited. Parking: There is parking along the street. However, it is bathing season and bathing time, everything is full. However, from late afternoon onwards the parking spaces empty.
