Service was never great but letting me wait 10 mins and the refusing me access for know reason is unbelievable.
As a visitor from the United States, I observed several bakeries lining the town center of Mainz. Kamps Backstube, differentiating itself immediately with its flawlessly marketed display cases. Needless to say, I made a turn towards its doors in sheer delight as to what I would soon discover. German bakery offerings tend to be very simple in preparation style, as well as presentation. That being said, there was a notably sharp contrast in comparison to the flamboyant selections that I formerly discovered in France. Simple- muffins, cinnamon rolls, sweet dough shaped into twists, custard filled pretzels more! Simple did not equate to unimpressive in the case of Kamps Backstube. They succeeded in drawing me into their business as a visitor with no prior exposure. They have a firm understanding of the importance of marketing visuals their component in generating new customers. Located in western Germany, Kamps Backstube provides a taste of unique-to-region offerings. Once again, sharply contrasting that of the eastern region of the country. Charming culturally authentic- what more could a visitor ask for? It is an essential stop, for anyone looking for German sweets- locals tourists alike.
I promised myself more of this ****. This branch of the bakery chain is really very small. In the cold season I don't want to be a guest there. The outdoor management is anything but cozy and in no way separated from the pedestrian traffic of the pedestrian zone. The tables in the interior have their best times clearly behind them and simply look old and tapped. The most negative are the toilets that would otherwise be used by passersby. You get some kind of key from the staff. This could certainly be better solved. The baked goods are typical of camps and the staff is quite friendly. Even though the saleswoman seemed to be new and not well known.
Service desert Germany!!! My wife urgently had to go to a toilet, got the information that it was only for customers. We would have bought something, but she wasn't allowed to go to the bathroom first. Never again this unfriendly and strange shop!!! Shame on you!!!! Not even a star deserves!!!!
Good. Had a coffee and an egg sandwich. Sandwich very crispy. Will return
