Chicken Salad Chick - Fishers

I'm not really a fan of chicken salad, but my family wanted to check out this restaurant. Since I didn't have many choices, I opted for the pimento cheese BLT, which turned out to be quite good. I understand that chicken salad is their specialty, but I do wish the menu offered a bit more variety.

It?s chicken salad. Granted, it was pretty good chicken salad. There are several varieties of chicken salad, but it?s still chicken salad. They got the atmosphere right. It?s a fun bit of sunny, Southern charm. The clientele seemed happy and the staff was hard at work. I had the spicy chicken salad, the Kickin? Kay Lynne. Keep in mind that I am a pepper head, so my tolerance is high. There was a little kick in the back of the throat so I was a little impressed. And I also had the spicy pimento spread. I?m a sucker for pimento. It was less spicy than the chicken salad, but there was a hint in there for me. So, as far as chicken salad, it was good chicken salad. As far as a stand alone restaurant, I am surprised that it?s succeeding focusing on one main item that is about the cheapest and easiest to make at home. Except egg salad. That?s easier and cheaper. But they have that here too.

Was not very impressed by the quality or price of this place. Both the chicken salad and egg salad were lacking flavor, the club crackers seemed to be the only thing helping. Odd that was only choice to go with it. Now I love pickles however theirs was a complete disappointment, was weirdly dry and mushy. I?m really surprised this is a chain restaurant. The only reason 2 stars; the staff was extremely friendly and that was appreciated.

The Fancy Nancy chicken salad sandwich was absolutely delicious. I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty the mac and cheese on the side was. My girlfriend's broccoli salad was worth the visit all by itself. The pickles were crisp and fresh, adding a nice touch. The prices were reasonable for the quality of food and the excellent 5-star service we received. This place is definitely going to be a regular spot for us.

I love CSC! It is super yummy and is the perfect place to go for lunch. They have AMAZING chicken salads and very yummy soups and are pretty inexpensive. I go here all the time on my lunch break. I highly recommend! Current favorite is Classic Carol on toasted white bread! ????
