I would give zero stars if possible. We (party of 2 went here one Sunday in mid September. It was around 6:30 pm, ~90 minutes before close. There were 10 people there, most of whom were in the process of leaving. They asked if we had a reservation, even though neither their website nor their Facebook says anything about reservations, and said they could not seat us without one. Maybe they wanted to close early (in which case just put a sign on the door “we are closing early today” , maybe we were not locals and they didn’t like how we looked . Anyway, we were never turned away in previous years when it was the Cowboy Bar, but we sure were by the people at MontAsia. Edit: to most of the reply, if you say so, but neither of us said a word to the hostess.
Owner was incredibly rude for no good reason! Will never eat there or support this establishment! Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

All the food we had was delicious! From the coconut shrimp with homemade bang bang sauce to a local Montana sirloin steak that was flavorful, juicy and tender (no steak sauce needed their steak sauce is homemade, it 's tasty nothing like A1 or 57). The salad was different but good. Had normal house salad (homemade ranch) with a little kale and carrot salad on the side along with bean sprouts and peruvian peppers. When trying to decide what to have Yokie (owner) was very helpful and gave the best advice on what to have! All staff was very friendly and made it feel like a small town restaurant/bar I 'd have back at home, which is exactly what I was looking for while visiting Montana. Almost forgot! The beer selection Must try the local craft beers. You will not be disappointed in the food or drinks.
