It was a Saturday night and my family was struggling to find a restaurant in Madison. After a last minute search and reservation, we were pleasantly surprised with a great meal. Our server was attentive and accommodating, even taking note of my son's fish allergy from my OpenTable reservation. We ordered the duck, short rib, and white fish, all of which were well-prepared. The muffins served instead of bread were delicious, and I even asked for some to take home. As I was leaving, the server surprised me with the remaining muffins in hand. Overall, a wonderful dining experience with a great location and excellent service!
The salmon was delicious. They also have weekly specials that are outstanding.
Food and service are very good here, but actually food is a miserable experience. Or the first trip, we sat alone in an empty room. The only person we saw was our server. It was boring and lonely. For the second time we came with two friends, and we sat in a very small room that would have been either a children's room or a pantry. I'm going for the whole experience of being among other diners. Our experiences in the stone house were chore, not joys. We tried twice, but not back.
I love the home y warm vibe of Quivey's Grove Stone House. The food is just as warming and amazing as the space itself think grandma's home cooked speciality but even better! Already looking forward to going back.
