However, the standout for me was the carrot cake - it was moist, creamy, and absolutely perfect. Unfortunately, the barista seemed to be working alone and forgot my cake, resulting in long waiting times. Despite this, I would definitely return when I have more time.
They roast their own coffee on site, and you can watch the barista at work. The seating options range from high tables, high benches, little booths, and regular tables that stretch all the way to the back. It was quite crowded when we arrived at 11am. The atmosphere is very hipster, but there were a few of us over 50 in the crowd. Overall, it's definitely worth a visit. We spent $68 for four people, which is not bad. The restaurant is wheelchair friendly, kid friendly, and they have high chairs available. Parking out front is decent, but there is a time limit. The toilets are unisex, meaning they are clean and suitable for both men and women.
Located in the heart of Fitzroy, this café is a spacious and well-decorated spot that is inviting from the moment you walk in. We kicked off our meal with some delicious coffees and a smoothie, all of which were divine. Our trio of dishes - the buttermilk hotcake, pea and ricotta fritter, and smashed avocado toast - were all equally delicious and beautifully presented. Each dish had its own unique toppings that added an extra layer of flavor. I can't wait to come back and try more dishes from their menu!
The young guy (Steve? had fantastic hospitality skills and we watched him greet and chat with several other regulars who clearly loved the service! he was great and a valuable asset to that business as was the great waitress who looked after everyone almost single-handedly. The great food was a bonus on top of our experience at this non-cliquey venue that welcomed all from the ‘fill my keep cup’ folk on route to work to large groups with young families. Highly recommended
Sir Charles is a cool, modern cafe located in Fitzroy. Their staff were very friendly and welcoming, especially Sharon who looked after us!<br/ For drinks we had the Strawberry Crush smoothie and an iced almond latte. The coffee was really nice, and the smoothie was very refreshing.<br/ We also ordered the wild party, the smash, and the pink lady waffle. All dishes were delicious, with large portions.<br/ <br/ All in all, an amazing feed with excellent service, and a great vibe!
