It took a lot of perseverance to be here for a whole two hours on a Saturday night This place is more inclined towards the younger crowd.
When we asked some locals for a recommendation of somewhere 'fun' to go to dance they mentioned the Perse with the warning 'it's pretty sleazy'.
Empty on a Friday night and I scratch my head and wonder why? This pub has a beer garden, a $7 across most drinks happy hours, and in this instance a great performer in Ezekiel Ox providing a mix of background acoustics and having a play at beat boxing (yes an interesting mix). Yet dead it pretty much was. We drank G&T's and beers filling in time waiting for friends to arrive to go out for dinner. It was a reasonably presented pub internally and externally. Perhaps a little too early for Fitzroy crowds. Perhaps a very different venue later on into the night (as I read some of the other reviews here). Perhaps not in the right spot for after work drinkers. <br/ <br/ Not really sure but we enjoyed our quiet drinks with some live acoustic music<br/
I love how there's always an atmosphere at the bar, and guaranteed to be people there.
