Wanted to try something different while visiting the area. They were open til 11pm. I ordered the Chicken Katsu, which came with white rice and Mac Salad, the wontons, side of fried shrimp and the fried dough. Everything was tasty. I got my food to go since it was late. The menu has a nice variety.
Not bad. Not great. In a super busy area with tons of restaurants, this one was pretty quiet. They aren't a party spot. We waited about 15-20 minutes for our order. The girl who helped us was super nice. Very soft spoken and patient. It was pretty clean inside. Nothing fancy. Basic fast food setup. The katsu chicken was pretty good. The rice was a bit dry and didn't stick together. The macaroni salad was a bit disappointing. Hawaiian mac salad is my fav. It usually has a bit of sweet flavor. But theirs here was pretty bland. The short ribs were about 70 percent fat, 20 percent bone, and 10 percent meat. Bummer. The bbq beef was pretty good. And the chicken was good. Not sure what the chicken was. Bbq or teriyaki maybe. The post stickers were good. Crispy. And we got the malasada donuts. So good! And of course a bunch of the Hawaiian sun drinks. Love them. We got a boba thai iced tea. It was okay. Didn't love it. Overall a decent meal.
The Kastu burger and fries were good but I wish it had more sauce on the burger. Also Boba Papya tea was good but the straw was thick so Boba got stuck in their making it hard to drink. Reason why I'm giving it 3 stars is because they were out of Seasme balls and they didn't understand that I wanted cream cheese wangtons wich were on the menu online including lumpia. Also another concern was Only Cashier was wearing a mask no one else of the staff was and I got alot werid stares just because I'm wearing a respirator mask.
Totally shocked. Served us microwaved frozen char siu baozi and called it Manapua literally frozen food from the Asian grocery store. We felt totally disrespected to be served this and they didn't even bother to take off the factory wrappers from the Manapua Chicken katsu had OK flavor but extremely dry. Poor value for money and a poor imitation of the original. We did not feel joy while eating this meal
