When we got here I was a little worried we came to the wrong place because when glancing over the menu I couldn't find the vegan cheese anywhere! They had a cheese-less pizza, but as an unhealthy vegan i would always prefer my greasy vegan cheese . After asking the waitress she was sooo nice and attentive. She knew what she was talking about right away, and recommended we order the cheese less pizza with the vegan cheese, and she brought us a side of cold marinara sauce and balsamic and oil to dip our pizza in. I wish I remembered her name because she was really helpful. The vegan cheese was awesome. I believe she said it was soy based. All of the veggies were fresh, the crust was amazing, and our dips were so complimentary! We had a couple pieces left over and they were great even cold. (We were traveling so we didn't have an oven! I would come here again in a heart beat. I wish I lived closer.
Pizza without cheese isn't really worth purchasing. vegan cheese pizza on the other hand is awesome. new jersey pizza hooks it up with local and/or organic toppings whenever possible and everything is made from scratch (even their dairy mozzarella is made there which i think is impressive although i've never had it . this pizza is awesome- if you're in flagstaff you should definitely order a pie! i usually get it to go because it takes 45-80mins for them to make the pizza and the atmosphere in the dining room isn't too enjoyable. it's worth it if you order ahead :
I usually spend large blocks of vacation time seeking out great eating spots, particularly organic pizza joints. My prior favorite was northwest pizza institute in Eugene,OR, but NO MORE, as this place is now #1. The pizza here was incredible. The owner had all of the elements dialled in, and was very knowledgeable on all aspects. The crust and cheeses were primo quality. For example, the black olives weren 't the typical canned/sliced olives normally found, but were actual real olives. The chevre on my pizza was tasty, and the crust was true to the style that they were going for, and perfectly done, not soggy, nor burnt. The storefront looked like some abandoned strip mall, with no sign announcing it 's presence, yet it was still hopping on a monday afternoon, telling me the locals knew about the place. Do yourself a favor, and check this place out.
Wow, I don't even know if New Jersey pizza is so good. It took a little longer than I waited earlier, but it was worth waiting.
Been going every Saturday. Again best pizza in flagstaff and it's not even close. It's high quality food so it takes a little longer so just call a few hours in advance and set a time for it to be ready at. Great people amazing food.
