Bought a cake here in July for my sons 1st birthday/christening. Ordered it the day before. Talked with the lady at the counter who said that was plenty of time to make cake. Picked this cake up next day. It looked horrible. Looked like my kids decorated this cake. And you could tell that they made a mistake icing the letters and literally wiped it off and lettered over the mistake. Paid the most I ever did for a cake in my life and the taste wasn’t anything to brag about either. I didn’t say anything at the counter cause I’m not someone to usually complain but it still bothers me today that I didn’t just walkout leaving the cake there. Will never go back to this place.
We were in town only for the weekend and stumbled onto this AMAZING bakery. We probably ate one of everything in the shop and went back the next day for more. The cappuccino was perfect. When we go back, we will add this place to our must visit shops.
We used to go to an Italian bakery in the area and of late we have been dissatisfied with the drop in quality, A neighbor recommended that we try the Italian Bakery and Espresso Bar in Flemington so I tried a pound of their rainbow cookies. All I can say is WOW, I've had these all over, even in New York City and can honestly say that these were the best that we've ever had. Outstanding! Absolutely perfect baking. Will be back there soon to try some of their cookies. Large selection and all baking is done on premises.
The small bakery is always a nice place to walk to, however, the prices can be inconsistent at times. One day an item may be priced at $2.50, but the next day a different person may charge $3.00 for the same item. They should work on ensuring consistency in their pricing.
