As far as the casino goes, there are rather small new games on top with tables. The bottom floor is full of old school slots. Very vintage like feel not really my cup of tea, but it was busy with other players. The high roller room seems to hit often. I watched a couple of jackpots in 25 mins. The sports book Fan Duel section was cool. Overall, if I was around the way, I would stop in here. I think we have some renovations it could be a solid casino.
Rooms are really getting rough. Bathroom sink was almost cracked in half. Way to expensive for what you get. It’s a 4 hour round trip for me, I never get comped rooms, food, nothing anymore. Not sure why it stopped because I would come several times a year. There needs to be a cheaper food option in the casino like before. I’m sorry to say Belterra has gone downhill since Covid, where as Horseshoe southern Indiana and Horseshoe Indy have improved!
The rooms at Belterra are comfortable and stately. I enjoyed my overnight stay and used many of the amenities available at the resort including the pool, casino, and multiple restaurants. I love that the casino has two levels with one offering newer slots and table games and the lower having many older style machines not offered at other casinos. The bar staff was friendly, as well as the servers on the casino floor.Rooms: Very clean and comfortable rooms. I loved my oversized bathroom with the separate shower and jetted tub. The phone in the toilet closet was just an added bonus.Food drinks: Many bars throughout the casino and one by the pool. There are multiple restaurants on site (five, I believe) from a grab-and-go sandwich shop to a full upscale steak house.
I live in hidden valley lake in Indiana and I love the drive to belterra but be careful the roads out on 156 good thing I left early because the road was out and I had to be on my own without no GPS so old school steps in pulled over and asked a few people drove on but I used old-school techniques and I got there 5 minutes before my tee off time beautiful course was well worth the hassle to get there beautiful course played with excellent people
My wife and I had a date night, overnight stay I should say and it was nice, the room smelled a little like dogs, it wasn't horrible but not great either. Later, we found out the floor they put us on is apparently the only floor they allow pets. I dont know why they would put people without pets on the pet floor... We ate at 19, it was good but the baked potato wasn't baked long enough and the lobster was overcooked. The steak was excellent, and the roasted garlic was a treat. It was a Friday night and the casino wasn't very busy, most of the people there were 70 or older. It was kinda said, a bunch of end of lifers sitting there pushing their retirement away. Also you can smoke everywhere, I used to smoke for 20 years but now I can't stand the smell, they should have a smoking and non-smoking area. The smell in the casino was horrible. They also didn't have a valet service. Weird!! The staff was really nice and seemed to know most of the end of lifers by name. Again said... Over all we had a good time and it was nice to get away from our normal reality for the night. 50/50 if I would recommend to a friend.
