Mad Mike's Burgers Fries - Florence

The selection of hamburgers here is truly exceptional, far exceeding what you find at most other places. These are simply the best burgers I've ever had! Plus, the onion rings are unparalleled. They actually take the time to remove the skin from the rings before deep frying, which means that when you take a bite, you enjoy both the onion and the batter, rather than just the breading with the onion slipping out. It's fantastic! I will definitely be back!

Create your burger just the way you like it, or choose from their menu options! I prefer the basics, so I usually go for a burger with mushrooms. It's always freshly prepared! And don’t skip the fries—two people can easily share a large order. The team at the Florence Erlanger location is fantastic; they're always friendly and attentive to every detail. This is our favorite local burger spot, and we visit regularly. Remember to leave a tip!

**Original Review (November 2023)**: I enjoy dining here and was really disappointed when the original owners closed the shop. I was thrilled when it reopened and found that the burgers tasted just as good as before. Hooray! However, it is a bit pricey, so eating here is more of a treat for my family. Recently, I noticed a sign advertising a special: a 1/4 lb cheeseburger, fries, and a drink for just $5.99! When I arrived, I had to wait for someone to finish in the bathroom (I didn’t hear the sink running, by the way). When they came out, they asked if I wanted the special, and I said yes. They informed me, however, that it was only available Monday through Thursday. I was disappointed and pointed out that the sign didn’t mention that. I asked if there was any way they could make an exception this time due to the confusion, but they said no, claiming there was no option in the register for it. I’ve worked with registers before, and I know it’s possible to change the price. Not ringing up an item isn’t an issue. The absence of that option hasn't stopped me from helping fellow hungry customers who showed up late for something they didn’t realize had ended hours before. False advertising like that deserves a 1-star rating. It feels like you’re taking advantage of people at worst, or at best, wasting their time. I also feel for the cashiers who have to repeatedly explain that the sign is misleading. How many times must they deliver that disappointing news? It’s really frustrating.

This was a very cool stop, and I 'm happy I made the stop! The best way I can describe this place is think Five Guys, but more creative. So many different ways to order your burger. The Goliath is 6 tall, two grilled cheese sandwiches as buns, delicious burger. The have nacho cheese and sauteed onions that you can add to your fries, but the onions lost a bit of flavor somehow. Overall, very good experience.
