My husband and I stayed in 859 on a busy Saturday night, but were excited to learn the bar is full of service and open seating. With 60 beer on tap, it takes a minute to make a selection, but I must say I love the local presentation! Several of my favorite cincy breweries were on design, including Rhine spirit, Madtree, Urban Artifact, and special. Service was fast, and the team was friendly although it was very busy. We ordered the Pretzel Bites and Brussels Sprouts as starters and absolutely loved both. The Brussels were crispy and coated in a maple brush glaze. The Pretzel Bites are served with a warm, ooey gooey cheese sauce that made them perfectly complicated. For Entrees I ordered the BBQ Bourbon Waygu Burger, who was absolutely enormous!! The toppings were stacked high on a juicy patty, and the bungalow was roasted as I like. My husband tried her fish and chips, and loved the thick beer batters in which they were cooked. Both Entrees are served with your choice of Pommes, which means it was a fight to clean our plates, but we definitely did our best. The prices are also quite fair for the neighborhood. With two apps, two nets and four drinks in total, we have for less than $100 including top that is almost unheard of what you are at Cincinnati. We will definitely return to 859 probably catch a game on one of their many TVs!
I love this place and can't wait to go back. It's busy most of the time. We were there twice, but for the first time we couldn't get a table. I just ate once, but I can't wait until I get back. The Pimento cheese and the burgers are excellent. The onions are a must!! You are amazing! Next time I want to get what my son got. He had the storage battery Buffalo Chicken Tenders. You're so crispy and good! Love the food and the IPA.
Large selection of craft beer, delicious items on their menu, great mood, and beautiful outdoor terrace.
Mostly good, Brussels Spirouts appetizers were very good. Wife had fish and chips and said it was very good, I had the pimento bacon burger, which was also very good, but the house made Coleslaw was a flop, just no taste at all. I think they left everything except cabbage. Service was fine, took a while to take our order, but server was great after that. Long list of beer on tap and quite reasonable. Clean and beautiful atmosphere.
Fantastic staff and owner. Plenty of in house barrel selected bourbons and ryes to experiment with and very helpful and knowledgeable about their massive selection of whiskies and beer. Food is fine it's nothing fancy but you're in a place designed for drinking and there's no disappointment there. Additionally, the prices are exceedingly reasonable. If in the area or just staying overnight and need a place that will be comfortable and friendly, this is it.
