It felt a bit distracting when he took multiple phone calls in the dining area, as he was quite loud and it disrupted the atmosphere. I ordered the chicken Alfredo, which was decent, but the chicken seemed boiled and lacked any seasoning or color. The pasta itself was good, though. I found the live chickens under the table or seats a bit unsettling. The bread was delightful. Keep in mind that there's no hard liquor available, just wine. The chicken Alfredo is worth mentioning because it cost an extra $10 to add, and I didn't think it was worth it.
I visited this restaurant during a quiet time and was still left feeling disappointed. I get that it's Key West and businesses need to make a profit, but I found the prices to be significantly high considering the experience, service, and food quality. I ordered the tortellini, and I would bet it was pre-packaged and just reheated. While my server was friendly, they talked very loudly on the phone in the dining area despite us being the only customers present. The food was decent, but it was only worth about half to two-thirds of what we paid. Even though we were the only ones there, the service was still slow. Given the other choices in Key West, I wouldn't choose to return here.
Pretty good lunch/dinner spot. The garlic knots were very chewy, but flavorful. The hummus was awful- don’t get the hummus. The Greek salad and pasta pomodoro came and they were mediocre. Our waiter was so kind and very attentive. Great location, loved the lights. Great prices.
Good spot in Key West just set back from Duval St. We were served by the owner, and the special menu on Christmas day was great. Big pours of wine too. We will happily come back again soon. There's a large covering out front if you eat outdoors and it happens to be raining. Free parking in the lot.
If just rating the food this place would be at least 4 stars. However, we left with a feeling the sever was trying to put one over on some witless tourists. Thankfully my wife saw the bill as I was paying and remarked it looked a little high. I had only looked at the food and did not notice an additional $60 Service Charge under the tax section. Donna, our server, made no mention of this when she brought it to me. When she came back I asked her if she had automatically included gratuity. The only way I can describe her reaction was odd . She mumbbled something like, Oh, ya service charge I know some restaurants, especially those with a lot of foreign customers, automatically include the tip. However, I did not see this posted anywhere and Donna certainly did not bring this to our attention. Nowhere else we dined in the Keys had this practice. I was ready to tip on top of this and would have done so if my wife hadn 't noticed! Afterwards I also noticed Donna had entered number of guests as 6 (top of the receipt). There were only five of us. Maybe 6 triggers automatic 20% tip? At the end of the day we would have left 20% or more as we commonly do. This whole thing just left me with a bad taste in my mouth after what was a very delicious meal
