The view was unique, and the decor, including the moose and the dollar bill on the wall, added a fun touch. Overall, it was a great experience, and we definitely want to return!
We met with our friends for lunch on a cold windy January weekend. We were quickly hit at the entrance and sitting immediately. The ambience was cool and welcoming. The lighting is dim; so my photos look like our food was in a cot. The service was impeccable. Waitstaff was very accommodating. The food was prepared in time. Everything tastes great. We had the .$18 Senate (Bean) soup as our appetizer with free bread. We had reuben sandwiches, chips and potato salad. It was fantastic! This restaurant is a great place to meet with friends. Lunch menu was affordable. It's very practical, just about everything. Parking is not big enough for big rigs, but you could probably park nearby with a short walk. It is only about 25-30 minutes to the Topsail Hill Preserve State Park Campground. Several public beaches are nearby.
This restaurant is definitely a tourist hotspot, and for good reason—the food is fantastic! The lively atmosphere is enjoyable, making it spacious and welcoming. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, and the service was excellent. It tends to get very busy; we arrived one evening and were told there would be an hour and a half wait. However, when we returned at 4 PM, we were seated right away. By 5 PM, there were many people waiting outside for a table. The food is absolutely worth the wait, and the fun atmosphere makes it all the more enjoyable!
This was my first visit to McGuire's, and it definitely won't be my last. The wait time was shorter than what we were told, and our waitress was very helpful with recommendations and quick to serve our food. Our group ordered steaks and burgers, and everything was amazing—more than we expected. I look forward to coming back!
Very unique atmosphere, a fun touristy spot. I tried the McGuire's Steak Sauce and Onion Ring Burger. I would probably try something else next time, but it wasn't terrible. It was still a fun spot to stop and see. They have dollar bills hanging everywhere, interesting stop!
