Decided to try a black owned health focus restaurant and I hope this review helps other experiences in the future. I will not be returning. Good: The sweet shakes are good and I like the graham cracker addition on the bottom. Terrible: -Communication: If you have a long wait, let customers know that during or after ordering. After 40 minutes, they put a sign outside saying to call in orders and not walk-in. -Wait Time: 30 minutes for 2 shakes and a salad -Service: The women are professional and I support having young men work. However as a first time customer, the kids assisting didn't know basic answers like what's the daily special for or what's the size difference in small, medium, and large smoothie. Idk if it was an off day, but someone with more experience should have assisted. -Order not correct: Alway check your order before leaving. Even after the long wait, it can still be incorrect. I ordered a salad with grilled chicken costing $18, and they put no chicken on the salad. See photo attached. I live 20 minutes, so I'm writing this off as a lost.
They shill shady MLM products by Herbalife, which have shown to cause liver failure, and have poor customer service with long wait times. You're better off finding a legitimate smoothie bar to give your hard earned money to. At least they don't seem to hide the fact that they serve MLM junk like most other Herbalife hun smoothie/tea places.
I was so excited to try this place after my workout. I found it on Google maps and immediately made the 30 minute drive over. I checked their Instagram for pictures and everything looked great. When I arrived, there was a sign on the door saying to call in or order online. Then I called only to find out there was a 40-45 minute wait. This was disappointing because I could’ve done that on my drive over but still I was willing to wait because I understand the lunch rush. I attempted my order online but I didn’t see all of the available options (the chicken bacon spinach wrap was posted on IG but not listed online). I called and received McDonalds level customer service. The worker answered and explained it was their lunch rush. I said no worries, I can wait. While ordering, Y’all know the dry McDonald’s tone of “anything else?? Anything else??” Like geez I ordered one smoothie so far, yes I want something else! I felt like I was bothering her just by placing an order. Then by the last anything else, (after I ordered 2 smoothies and 2 meals)…she said okay and hung up. I didn’t receive a total nor did she ask for a name. For a salad and a wrap to be almost $50 for lunch, the customer service alone made me feel like I’ll never go back. I did enjoy the salad and smoothie so I may reconsider. My partner on the other hand was too upset to ever consider going back. I would advise the owners to remind the front line staff that friendly service goes a long way. I know how overwhelmed you can feel when you’re busy. But each new customer is an opportunity to have a better day.
Tiny establishment using a few blenders for all serving. This is over priced fruit Just go to Aldi's, Trader Joe or whole foods buy health food eat for a week organic. Go here eat five minutes. Pay for dinner at breakfast. A smoothie toast and sausage 12$ smoothie 3.50$ toast 3$ sausage 20$ breakfast for 1 person. Take a friend and that doubles. And your at the mercy of the workers you get it right. And if you have nut allergies ruunnn. Stay healthy eat fresh fruits and vegetables daily. I just don't technically recommend that it from here. It's not about budget it's about recommending not worth it.
