A bit overpriced, especially because it flushes and not Manhattan and there is a lot of comparable competition around the corner, but whatever we ordered, we thought the cook really has a great job! Also surprising was the good service, as this is not what I expected to visit restaurants in Chinatown. Overall, if she held the prices a bit more reasonable, it would have been a rate of 5 stars from me.
Went for lunch and we enjoyed the Steamed Flounder, Minced Pork and Salted Fish Casserole along with Special Steamed Chicken. The waiters were helpful with menu questions, recommendations and attentiveness. The atmosphere is traditional casual. There's ample seating, ability to accommodate large parties (with advance notice), an available parking lot for up to two hours free if you spend $50 or more.
I absolutely love coming to this place for lunch! The price is between 7-9 dollars per dish and they are all super delicious. The sad thing is today one of the cashiers told us that the owner is planning to close down this subsidiary and they are getting absorb back to the main restaurant.
I have come to this restaurant several times in the last year with large groups of people, usually for a family event. I'm not a foodie, so I won't give a critique of the food, though I have no complaints. What prompted me to review was their excellent service. They are always attentive and prompt. They often change your dish for a clean one between servings. They also offer to distribute the food when a new plate of food comes out. This is for large tables obviously. Yes, many Chinese restaurants do this, but they just seem to me that they put in a little extra effort, which I've noticed.
This restaurant was unexpectedly closed, but I wasn't disappointed. There was something for everyone to enjoy. My favorites were the house dish with greens, squid, fish, and bacon, as well as the Beijing duck. They were both quite delicious!
