The Coffee Republic in Folsom, California is a fantastic café in the style of pre-Starbucks era cafés in the bay area. I am inclined to say that it reminds me of the cafés of my Berkeley days, but there is not the colorful clientele in Folsom, and this is good of me! However, there is a good selection of high-quality coffees and teas, hot and cold as well as all usual espresso-based drinks. In addition, there is a menu of high-quality sandwiches, salads and breakfast price. The breakfast selection includes eggs, for the most part, which she takes out from running for me, but I ordered her wonderful bistro BLT on a few occasions at 6:00 and received it without the bat of an eyelash. You have several vegetarian offers on the menu, and they will craft what you choose on your request. The staff here is smart and cheerful, and they seem like old friends after a few minutes. I can't go enough about this little site, and I think it's really one of the best breakfast/lunch places in the Folsom area. Sandwiches are in the range $7 – $9, and breakfast start at $2 for a muffin and go up to $8.35 for Spicy Sausage and Brie Sandwiches. Free Wi-Fi for customers attracts a population of venerable writers and office curses.
