Contribuisci feedbackWhenever I'm in the Little River neighborhood, I'm always drawn to eat at Lil Laos in the Citadel. The food prepared here is so GOOD and addicting, especially for those who love real heat. Lao food is not commonly featured like other southeast Asian foods such as Thai or Vietnamese, but it's delicious. It also has many similar ingredients and influences. Filled with flavors such as lemongrass, fish sauce, and chili peppers, the owner does a wonderful job of representing Lao food in this food hall. I just wish there was more Lao food throughout South Florida, Eastside. Arguably, this is the only restaurant I've found that is specifically Laos, not Laos and Thai food.Every dish on Lil Laos' small menu is delicious. We ordered: crispy pig ears Super crispy, not greasy, addictive snack. Can't even feel the crunch from the cartilage. The dip that comes with it is so good, sour, salty, and spicy (good to cut the fat), that I asked for the recipe. sausage I always get this. Something about the herbs, earthiness of the sausage, and crispness of the sear always gets me. It is served with a sweet and sour sauce. Laab plates with beef and pork got both. The beef is packed with seasonings and crunchy textures. Beef is slightly chewy but definitely interesting because it has a cooked in lime juice feel even though it feels like it's been cooked imo. Ground pork is easier to eat but just as tasty. Served with juicy and crispy cucumbers and steamed rice, both dishes are refreshing. lemongrass chicken plate the stars of this dish are arguably the lemongrass seasonings on the chicken and the flavorful papaya salad. The sticky rice is so glutinous and fun, too, so it's hard to say, actually. But this is an all around winning dish for sure.Parking is ample in their private lot but you have to paybyphone so it's not free.Tip: Lao food is very spicy. I'd recommend ordering medium spice from their menu so you can enjoy their dishes. The spice on most dishes can be modified but are made to be spicy. The last thing I'll mention is that the prices are bit high imo for the portion size but I have a large appetite and the food is made with love so I feel that there's a good balance.

Tried pig ear for the first time in my life and they were AMAZING! The fried snapper was life changing. Honestly, the best fried fish I've had in yearsss. So fresh, w the perfect amount of heat salt. Lil Lao's is in my top 3 best food of Miami!
The food does run pretty spicy, but was exquisite. i ordered the beef larb, which was shredded beef with cilantro, red onion, fish sauce and a ton of spices. Worth making the trip to come try it.
Lil Laos u guys killed it like always. Spicy glass noodle shrimp salad is fresh and delicious and the side of your lemongrass grilled chicken is so delicious like always.
