Pub On The Hill - Fonthill

Nice clean pub right on the main street with outside seating. This was our first visit and didn't know what to expect. The wait staff was young, friendly and professional. It has a limited menu compared to many pubs but that shouldn't be viewed as a negative. There is something for everyone. We had a Cajun Chicken Club and Grilled Veggie Wrap with drinks. The presentation was nice, salad ingredients fresh and the meals tasted great. Very pleased. Another plus for Fonthill.

We dined for a late dinner on Saturday night. The food was great! We had wings, burgers, and a quesadilla special. The problem was with the super slow service. First, I stood by my seat for a while when I first arrived, because there was a liquid spill on it. Took forever for the waitress to come over and greet us, then clean my seat. When we ordered, it took a long time before food came out, and when it did, one entrée was missing. The wait for that entrée was another 15 or so minutes. And we had no ketchup for the burgers. The waitress couldn't seem to find any. She had to go refill one for us, but then she must have forgotten, so we had to ask again. By that time, the burgers were getting cold, but we could all eat together, because the "forgotten" entrée finally came out. Too bad about the service, because the food was awesome!There was entertainment the evening we were there; perhaps that may explain the SLOW Service. But when we first arrived, the entertainment was not there, not set up or anything. And the pub wasn't very busy when we first got there. So I'm just not really sure why our service was so poor.

All the staff are kids. Screwed up the order, over salted, laughing as the screwed everything up. The topper, chefs are out back skateboarding in between orders. Never again.....and previous reviews were top notch.

This little place in downtown Fonthill is a gem. I went there for dinner and then again for lunch. Their short ribs were excellent and the duck fat fries were the best french fried potatoes I have ever had. They have an outside patio for nice days.

Had a great time at the pub on saturday night.We ordered the caesar salad,wings and duck tacos.The service,presentation and quality was very good.The entertainment was a plus and we will be returning soon.The previous negative reviews do not relate to the present situation and from my experience I recommend supporting Pub on the Hill.
