Le Patio - Fontvieille

The very best restaurant in Fontvieille. We tried all 7 in a week and could’t conclude else than that this fine cuisine and service stood out. The waiter was so gentle. The food was tenderly mild, but which such outspoken taste. A true revelation. Loved every single second spent in this lovely place. Thanks so much!

Dining at Le Patio is a special experience. The food and presentation was outstanding, the service excellent, and the ambience wonderful.

We had dinner at Le Patio during a short visit to the region and were totally delighted with our choice.The setting is fabulous the moment you leave the street into this ageless farm interior court where dining takes place.The owners are your hosts and we came without a reservation but were quite lucky to get a table promptly.The staff were very helpful and courteous and we made our menu selection with the guidance of the chef’s wife and co-owner.As an appetizer, we chose a swordfish carpaccio served with a touch of local olive oil that was delicious.We went on with a selection of daurade royale which was served truly to perfection with a crispy skin on a vegetable bed.Our wine selection went for a Beaumes de Venise because we have a preference for red but the wine list will cater to the most demanding guests.Desert was unbelievable and took the form of a fruit smoothie which was refreshing and tasty.An altogether memorable experience in a wonderful setting with great service..What else are you looking for ?

The good: The food was excellent, especially the asparagus soup and risotto with shrimp. Cute courtyard seating as well. Unfortunately, the service,while friendly, was rushed. Unusual for a Provence restaurant.We had barely finished one course when another arrived.

Third visit in five years, actually. We returned to Mausane les Appilles after five years and Le Patio was better than ever. Most of us ordered from the 45 euro price fixe menu. Most of us are real foodies and we thought it was transformative, especially the swordfish seviche appetizer (see pix). HIGHLY recommend, but try to 1) eat on the patio and 2) finish before dark because mosquitoes emerge as if on cue just as dark sets in.
