Biscuitology - Forest Grove

I drove 45 minutes to get there, only to find out they closed two hours earlier than their listed hours.

We've been enjoying food from this restaurant on and off since they opened, and we've generally had a good experience. However, they frequently run out of chicken. On our most recent visit, the gravy tasted quite different from what we usually expect, which makes us hesitant to return anytime soon. They were out of chicken again, so I opted for sausage instead, but it reminded me of eating a McRib from McDonald's.

This place is ideal for a hearty breakfast. The biscuits are huge, the juices are delightful, and the hash is quite satisfying. The service is decent, but the setup for waiting for a table is a bit strange; you need to have your order ready or step aside to read the menu if you're not prepared. Overall, it's still a fantastic spot.

Based on reviews, I had high expectations but our experience was a miss. We came for brunch during Forest Grove's Chalk Art Festival on a Saturday and it looked like they were short staffed as there was only one person handling the cashier and serving tables at the same time. She was pleasant but service was really slow. It took 45 minutes for our food to come out. Also they ran out of their popular herb and cheddar biscuits so the only accommodation was their gluten free biscuits. Was a little bummed about that as that is what they are known for, so it was surprising they ran out so fast. We ordered Kitchen Sink, Nitty Gritty, and Chicken Waffles. Unfortunately, the biscuits were very dry and fell apart easily, and the Chicken Waffles came out with burnt, overcooked chicken which was not very appealing and really hard to digest. As much as I was hoping to like this place, it was not worth the money spent. Will have to come back again to update this review if we have a chance.

First visit we had eggs sausage and a herb cheddar biscuit, The eggs and sausage were prepared to perfection. The biscuit was the best I have ever eaten in a restaurant. It would be hard to not order again. The service was prompt and staff very friendly. will bf back defiantly again.
