I added a photo I think. the steak was smaller than described, was rarely ordered to get no more than medium and that was an accurate take, but the Gristle...read more
I was here in juli as part of the wedding celebrations. many of us stayed in the hotel and had no fear of overshot cash. we spent great on eating, the best rooms and drinks at different times. the night before the high time we eat here, perhaps a table of almost 20, order ala carte 2-3 courses, his great question for the kitchen to be honest. but first I must mention the dining room of the restaurant, it is absolutely stunning, in an older style it felt like in the first class on the titan. that eating was okay in view of what was required, the wagyu could do so much better with less is more concept, cherry tomato and many rocket little, I thought truffle pecorino, evo, capers...more
A great lunch. my mother and I had a great lunch on Sunday today. Entrées were great and generous, my mother loved the crabs ravioli and the Asian chicken salad was delicious. the crispy skinned salmon was beautiful and the accompanying orange beurre blanc sauce was to die. the brittle wine was cooked nicely and a slice over its usual Sunday roast. the servier size was right. the lemonter was delicious with its crispy flame top and we also finished with coffee. great priced at $45.
We were happy to eat all day after that. the hotel decor and ambiente was excellent and the staff helpful, but after that we thought we were in fawlty towers. it was Monday night and the restaurant was less than half full. after the merger via a wrong menu followed an ultra small designer menu. we waited for an hour to our head and another hour for dessert this restaurant is not for the hunger and should not open when a separate functional room, if not in the location, provide a contemporary service.
Fine dining in a gorgeous setting. Pros: impeccable decor, rich, tasty recipes with a French influence. Delicious steak. Good salmon. Cons: whilst the service was attentive and courteous, the staff seemed rather unhappy and the politeness felt forced which somewhat spoilt the otherwise good atmosphere for me. Wir: maybe if the staff were more genuinely happy to be there I would.. For the coin I paid I would expect a better working environment for the waiters attending me.
