I have been here several times with my boyfriend, we like here because of the nice service, food is good with enough amount, I can barely finish it. Haha , will be back again. Anyway, didn’t feel regret to go.
This is my weekly go-to restaurant. Every Thursday is known as 'Tasty House Day ' in my household.<br/ Their roast duck is top quality and one of the best at $16.00 for half a duck, good value for money and our favourite. And the Chef 's Specials noodle soups are great too. <br/ <br/ Food comes quick and well presented. The taste is very similar to typical Cantonese cuisine with a mainland Chinese touch. You can clearly tell the food is cooked by a professionally trained Chinese Chef as opposed to a self taught home cook.<br/ <br/ Although I mostly get takeaways, the bright spacious dining area can 't be overlooked. The open style kitchen is right next to the dining area so the food is visible from start to finish. So you need not worry about food safety hygiene. The owner 's wife kids also eat the same food there so it says something in that respect.<br/ <br/ If you don 't know what to order, go for the roast Chef 's specials. You can 't go wrong with those but quite honestly nothing will really disappoint you there.
'Tasty ' is exactly what we 've found here. This is no frills dining, but the food is great. Friendly wait staff, efficient service, and short wait time to get your food. This place is just opposite Forest Hill Chase shopping centre, near the pedestrian crossing. Plenty of parking just up the road in the carpark near the roundabout.<br/ <br/ It 's always busy at meal times. My partner always gets the Sizzling Udon Noodle with Beef and Black Pepper. I am working my way through the menu as there 's so many options and all have been great to date. I 've never been disappointed. There 's tea in thermoses on every table, along with a pot of chilli, napkins, cutlery and chopsticks. <br/ We are regulars here and highly recommend it, so give it a try!<br/ Great local gem! Only downside is it gets very noisy at times.<br/ If you turn up and it 's full and you don 't want to wait, they have another more upmarket restaurant a few doors down the hill towards Canterbury Rd called 'J W restaurant '. The menu isn 't as extensive but it 's great food and a nicer dining experience for an evening out with friends. It 's also much quieter. Or just try it, you won 't be disappointed! :
Local Chinese Food at Reasonable prices. Visited for the first time on a Saturday night and it was quite busy (always a good sign). Ordered the Roast Duck special, mapo tofu entree serving of the spicy chicken ribs. All dishes were tasty and reasonably priced. Service was good for the standard expected at a no frills Chinese Restaurant. Would return again keen to check out other menu items.
