Il Castello - Forest Lake

We went here for dinner. The people in line in front of us being served wanted a very strange pizza made up and had to go over it 5 times before the person serving them got them to pay. Over all that we waited probally half an hour to be served. It has gone down hill in the way of service since it was sold. But the food is still good. We will not be going back.

Recommended here from a mate who knows his good tucker. So glad he did!! This place is fantastic with great food, fresh and authentic! And the owner is the perfect host as well and will break into song at any given time. And doesn't have a bad voice either just quietly!! Give it go and you will return time after time, be warned though they have big servings!!

Drove along Hellawell Road and felt like to have a light brekkie, so turned into the Jackson Road Shopping Village in order to visit this cafe. Walked in and experienced the retrospective feeling from its lay-out. I could see so many pictures of superstars,such as Elvis Presley, on the wall. It is so nice that I can enjoy the strong aromatic Simply Bean coffee and the toasted Banana & Raspberry bread while I am indulging in the episodes of my childhood. I must return one day to try their pizzas, which I could imagine to be quite famous by judging the tables that they set up for dine-in customers.

If you are looking for real authentic Italian pizzas, this is the place to go. You will not be disappointed by the quality of the food here. They have a variety of pizzas to choose from and each one is just as tasty and mouth-watering. The pastas are good too but not as delectable as the pizzas. The only thing is the price being a little steep but on an occasional basis, that's not something I would complain about.

Great cafe for a well poured & flavorsome flat white. They use Simply Beans blend ( a local roastery which we have been going to for years at Logan) They certainly know how to do a great coffee & also a great pizza. Try the homemade apple pie too it is a work of art & you will be flat out finishing it (see pic)
