Contribuisci feedbackWithout prejudice Food here was absolute rubbish, just deep fried was our experience i expected a lot more for the price(I am use to the standards that the lion at Richlands set, food there is amazing and half the price of blue fin) unfortunately I gave blue fin a try but won’t be back again due to low standards
This is the place to be any night of the week, they always have something on, especially for members. $2 to join. The meals are well priced especially for pensioners, the bar certainly doesn't over charge like Taverns. Try it you won't be sorry. Especially their monthly special Meals.
This club can be really good some days, with meals being generous, great value and tasty, along with a great performer. However on other days it’s a so so experience. The performer was hurting my ears, was so out of tune/unpleasant to listen to that I had a headache. My bad luck continued when, for lunch, I opted for the roast beef, and at nearly $15 for members, it was a big letdown. Had this meal a while ago, and it was tender and delicious. Today, no pumpkin, and one tiny little potato. The meat was very tough and chewy, and actually didn’t seem fresh, so I didn’t end up eating much of it, as was like chomping cardboard. Disappointing, as I had been looking forward to a nice roast lunch. In comparison, I had the roast lamb weeks before and it was delicious and tender, couldn’t fault it. Can’t understand it. A great club, but their standards seem inconsistent, hit or miss.
We went to the restaurant on a Monday night and found the Bistro to be fairly busy, but there were plenty of tables available for our large group. There was ample parking outside. It was interesting to see a fishing club meeting being held there. The menu options were not very exciting, and I can imagine it would get boring for frequent visitors. The starters were bread-based, with a selection of mains including steaks, pizzas, kids and seniors options. I ordered the December special of steak and ribs, although I was disappointed to find that the vegetables were frozen. The ribs were tasty but not as generous as shown in the picture. The mashed potatoes were good, but the mixed vegetables were bland. The onion rings were a highlight, and the steak was cooked well and seasoned nicely, although it could have used more sauce. My son had a larger portion of ribs, while my husband enjoyed the Soft Cooked Crabs special with wedges and salad. Two kids had large pizzas with lots of toppings, but couldn't finish them all. I also had a coffee, courtesy of my sister-in-law's membership, which was good. We had planned to attend the trivia night after dinner, but it was moved to a different location and we ran out of time, so we missed out. Instead, we played a game on our phones with the staff and had a good time. The atmosphere was pleasant, with plenty of space for dining, reasonable prices, and decent food overall.
This restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, delicious food, and always offers a quiet spot to relax with a newspaper. The food is above average and reasonably priced, with friendly service and clean bathrooms. There is also ample parking available and pokies for those interested. Overall, a very pleasant dining experience.
