We waited 20 minutes for the cake, sandwich, and tea, despite it being nearly 3 PM and four staff members chatting behind the counter. By the time their food arrived, I had already finished my potato. The cake and tea were also served in takeout containers and cups. Overall, it was a very lackluster and disappointing experience, especially for such a special occasion like Mother's Day. Don't be misled by the photos advertising their café; you won't get proper china plates and cups. I certainly won't be returning to eat here again.

I was being served by a lovely woman at the register when someone came out from the back room, dressed in black, and started shouting that things were unacceptable. It seemed that the cashier had sent a message indicating they had run out of sandwiches. She then asked someone else to take over her duties. Afterward, she apologized to everyone and went into the kitchen. A little later, she returned and apologized once again.

Breakfast and coffee took 30 minutes to arrive, despite the café being nearly empty. When they finally came, both the food and drinks were cold, and there was barely a sprinkle of mushrooms on the plate—hardly enough to count as one whole mushroom. While the craft center is fantastic, the café is simply disappointing. We won’t be coming back.

Recommended by the estate agents we were touring the area with we dropped in for a coffee and lite bite, I had the Mac and cheese Jenny had the tuna mayo jacket. Both were delicious and the staff so friendly and helpful. It was excellent value for money and the portions were generous. We each had a latte coffee which again was very nice and of a decent size. Will be going back again and again I’m sure if we do end up buying in the area.

In an area with little choice in good cafes, Taurus cafe is warm, inviting, serve good cake and coffee by polite staff. Decent WiFi too. Thank you :
