The Bridge Cafe - Forest of Dean

The food was excellent and offered great value for the price. The staff was also very friendly. I will definitely be returning soon.

We'd not been to Lydney or the Bridge Cafe before. We were pleasantly surprised. Despite roadworks which meant through traffic was not passing, it was very bgusy on both occasions we visited for a snack lunch. Despite the busyness, the staff did a great job clearing and cleaning tables for the next table. Orders were efficiently taken and just as efficiently prepared and delivered. The food was as good as the service which is why we returned a second day. We were almost disappointed it was full, but after popping across the road to shop, returned to find a table had been cleared and cleaned and was available for us.

Pop into the bridge at least once a week more if working in the area , love the food really reasonable prices good portions, Sara, Gary and the girls are really welcoming, funny and always happy to see you. really happy atmosphere, sometimes have to wait for a table as its so popular but well worth the wait. We visited this restaurant to feed our teenagers on a rainy family holiday day. The staff was friendly, the portions were generous, the service was fast, and it was great value. What more could you ask for?

Excellent value Food and drinks piping hot Very generous portions. Would have preferred Heinz Tomato Sauce but not worth dropping a point for Well worth a visit
