I always make a point to drive out to Pacific Palms to get these amazing pies every year. My favorite is the chunky pepper steak pie, but the steak and veg or chunky steak pies are also great. The pies are filled with good, clean chunks of meat and a delicious filling, all encased in incredible pastry. Today, I drove 35km to Whoota specifically to get two more pies after hearing rave reviews about them. I complimented the store attendant, Kim, only to find out she's the boss! This store always provides a great meal and never disappoints. Keep up the good work, Kim!
The flavor of the Ridgy Didge Pies reflects the 16 years of baking experience behind them. This particular Kidney, Mushroom, and Bacon Pie showcases a perfect balance of flavors in its flaky pastry. The kidney flavor is not overwhelming and blends well with the other ingredients. The store owner was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Thank you for the delicious pie!
I highly recommend the chili beef pie, but be cautious as it is spicy, not in terms of temperature.
Food was ok not as good as you would expect, not very hot. The rudeness of the older lady really struck me with her abrupt tone. Maybe she was tired or over people but we are friendly people so being abrupt wasn't necessary. The young girl who served us was friendly.
