As someone who has owned a few cafes myself, I was impressed by the quality of this cafe. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend giving this cafe a try.
Looking for a place to have lunch with your dog in Forster on a cold winter day? Look no further than Tartt! We stumbled upon this charming restaurant with chairs and tables set up on the sidewalk, where we sat down and perused the menu. The server was incredibly friendly and even took the time to chat with our furry companion, which we found to be a nice touch. Both my wife and I opted for the lunch specials - a chicken sauté and a burger - and were pleased with our choices. While the food may not be gourmet, it was satisfying and delicious. If you find yourself in Forster, make sure to stop by Tartt for a cozy meal in the sun and don't forget to try one of their beers, as they have a liquor license. Overall, a great spot for a well-presented and wholesome lunch experience.
We stopped by Tartt for a quick breakfast. My husband enjoyed a bacon and egg roll, while I opted for the mango bread with raspberry coulis and yogurt. Both dishes were delicious, and the coffee was excellent. The service was provided by a very friendly young man who appeared to genuinely enjoy his job, a rare find these days.
The manager went out of his way to supply us with a beautiful lunch. We come here every year for our holiday and this is one of our to-go places for a quick and easy lunch, snack or just a morning coffee.
Two of us went in for coffee mid morning yesterday. I ordered 2 flat whites and a bagel cut in half to share. I asked for it all to come out together to avoid common scenario of finishing coffees before food turns up. Bagel came, no coffee, but It was busy so we just waited patiently expecting coffee to come any moment. It didn’t. We finally said to a woman serving that we’d ordered coffees which hadn’t come, and she told us in no uncertain terms “with attitude “ that we should have reminded them when the food came out. Then she brought out one coffee. We said we ordered 2 flat whites. Next thing the guy who’d originally taken the order came along giving us a serve with real blaming attitude about the original order telling me I’d only ordered one coffee. Not accepting that he’d made a mistake (it was busy and noisy, so quite easy to make a mistake on the receiving end) I said I know what I ordered there’s 2 of us and I asked to share the bagel as well. He argued the toss. It was going nowhere. The whole thing could have been instantly resolved by a team with a good customer service attitude. A simple sorry, let’s get this sorted attitude would have made a huge difference regeardless of who was right or wrong. We suspect the attitude has to come from the top. The boss may well be a bully so the staff are so unfriendly and argumentative. Not at all good in a tourist town!
