Only stopped in for the oysters, and they were not good. We tried a half dozen. 2 lacked brine, 2 had shells. Overall the oyster selection was limited (4 choices). The service was good and we enjoyed the cocktails and atmosphere. We really wanted better oysters.
Outstanding is the perfect word for this place. Seems to be under good leadership. My husband and I are newly married so we decided to come her for his birthday and they wrote happy birthday on the table cloth (which was an incredibly nice touch). Made it feel very special when we came in to sit down. The staff and customer service was Phenomenal (with a capitol P). The food was absolutely delicious and we left feeling satisfied and had just enough food between the two of us. We got there for happy hour which was great. Their mule 's were also delicious. I highly recommend the calamari sauce and the half shell oysters as well as the shrimp. We weren 't huge fans of the smoked tuna dip, but the garlic wine, steamed mussels were really fantastic. The broth was so good we were dipping their fresh bread into it... delicious. Not to mention the lobster roll... I 'd be here for another half hour explaining that in it 's full glory. They had us a perfect seat next to the window which I appreciated. Reasonable prices for the wonderful food and service. All around it was great experience and we look forward to coming back... hopefully sooner than the next birthday! Much appreciated.
The food does not seem to be quite as good as it used to be in the last couple years. The service was good. I would avoid the gumbo fries (and maybe the gumbo), as they are almost inedible because of their saltiness. I had the mussels. They were decent. The seafood chowder was good but not great. Probably not worth the money. The flavor just wasn't there for me. My wife had the Mahi, my dad had the Ahi... Again there just wasn't anything that amazing about the flavor. Nothing to write home about. I think it is getting to where it is more expensive to eat there than it's worth. Some of the magic seems to be lost.
