Contribuisci feedbackAs a native person to have come from the Eastern United States Coast, I have endorsed in a substantial amount of New York-style slices in these past 17 years of my modest life and since moving in December of 2010, have come to this respective establishment made out to be reminiscent of an east coast style pizzeria a countless number of times, but decided that it would be a perpetual idea to review this fine establishment briefly in a blunt manner.I ordered the singular Sausage Slice and Garlic Knots that were both good and filling, the use of spices and the type of sausage utilized on the slice, which could be enough to feed 2 persons with moderate appetites further was made better with the presentation of the food in particular; while it may be reflective of the median New York Pizza Place that many a person may have gone to in some capacity; as a Northeast Native, it just seemed as-if the pizza looked appealing. In addition to such, the cultural atmosphere of the respective establishment was reminiscent of a New York-style pizzeria from the early 1990s, featuring a distinct and yet sparse diversity of arcade games, checkerboard floor tiles throughout the pizza establishment, and in addition to such, a painting on the wall near most the order counter featuring a diversity of actors and significantly historic figures from the late 20th Century that adds much adorned character to this pizzeria, they also possessed a jukebox loaded with songs from the Marshall Tucker Band, No Doubt, Billy Joel, The Beatles, Def Leppard and numerous other artists that impact American and British Counterculture over the course of the final 50 years of the 20th Century and even the 21st Century. The primary reason as to why this respective review is disclosed as a 3 out of 5 contrary to a 5 out of 5 is because of two glaring issues that I noticed while I was consuming dinner here over the past 10 months, with those two respective issues being that the central jukebox was too low in volume, and could only be heard from seating in the upper-level and as one approached the ordering counter, and the other issue bring the lighting: In the restaurant, the interior felt as-if it was dark, noticeably more prevalent when I went in November of 2023, the lack of present lighting on the lower-level of the single floor building has no proper central lighting system, thus making it seem as-if we are consuming our nutrients in a 18th Century Inn located in the Commonwealth of Virginia. If they could strive to install a fluorescent light panel or lamps, it would help significantly to those eating in lower-level seating. To concede with my review, this respective pizzeria is optimal and has the charm and cultural character of an early 1990s New York pizzeria, but it has several issues that takeaway from the character of the establishment.Kid-friendliness: This respective Pizza Casbah location is adorned with numerous vintage arcade games such as Ms. Pac-Man, Galaga, and Street Fighter II, but besides that, it is not really the most child friendly establishment, as it caters predominantly to university students.
Let's face it....pizza definitely is a preference so what someone likes someone else may not. I was obviously less than thrilled with the pizza I got on Friday night because I did not like the crust or the sauce HOWEVER I ordered a two topping pizza and the toppings were so skimpy it was not worth ordering. I won't go back because I did not like the pizza. The take-out service was good. As a final note, the parking is terrible. They really should offer a service to bring the pizza out to the car. Food for thought.
Great pizza, and the vegan pizza is great too! All a bit spendy as far as pizza goes $20 ish per pie) but I would go again!Dietary restrictions: Can accommodate vegan and gluten free
Thank you guys for making delicious pizza AND putting the customer first when there was a little power glitch. We have been coming here for years and you guys demonstrated why we always come back! (Awesome customer service, of course! /24We ordered from here tonight and as usual, this place never allows themselves to have customers disappointed! I ordered a 24” and got a 12”. Whoever I spoke with on the phone owned the mistake and refused to have me drive to get my pizza. You are one of the reasons this place keeps their customers. I have been a customer since there was a little room upstairs to eat my pizza in, before renovations. I love this place and the employees are phenomenal. Thank you for being one of my favorite places to get pizza at. ?
We buy pizza dough from this restaurant, and it is reasonably priced and wonderful.
