The price is reasonable, it's more quiet and relaxing than the PX or other on post places. Good for all but particularly the mid-grade officer and senior enlisted.
In addition to wine, there were several bourbon vendors present, including Woodford Reserve, Four Roses, and Blackened, an American whiskey associated with Metallica. I suggest looking into how Blackened is made; it has a really interesting process. In the ballroom, we enjoyed live music and a buffet dinner. The atmosphere was lively, and the food was fantastic, featuring options like prime rib, chicken, and a variety of sides. For dessert, there was bread pudding, which was a delicious treat! Overall, it was a wonderful event to support the troops, and I can't wait to participate again next year!
The restaurant is still understaffed, but the service is decent. The food is satisfactory for trivia night, but not exceptional. If I had the option, I would likely choose to dine elsewhere, though the fries are outstanding—always crispy and flavorful. It seems the management isn't overly concerned, as the venue remains largely unrecognized (similar to much of the Knox area). There seems to be a lack of awareness about online presence, and they don’t seem to mind that many reviews regarding Knox are not favorable. This place feels like it's stuck in the 1990s and shows little sign of change.
This venue is well-known for hosting military dining events, both indoors and outdoors. However, I found the bar to be severely understaffed; there were only two bartenders available for over 100 guests, and one of them was busy taking inventory during the busiest time, right before the social hour ended. The food itself was quite average. It’s hard to justify a formal dinner where the buffet only offers plastic cups of margarine, with no butter on the tables. For a $35 meal, it felt more like a $15.99 buffet experience. Additionally, the drinks were disappointing; there were no sparkling beverages provided for toasting, just weak tea and plain water. The dessert—a dry sheet cake—was underwhelming, and there was no coffee available. On a positive note, the outdoor covered patio is lovely. I would consider renting it for an event, but I would prefer to bring my own BBQ or hire an outside caterer instead.
Great staff. Can be very busy at lunch time. They do do great job at moving you through. Read the boards so you have no sticker shock at the register. Food always taste great! Beautiful banquet rooms! Lots of food options!
