Empanada Bodega - Fort Lauderdale

We got the beef and chicken empanadas and they were so good. Super fresh, hot and flaky! Quick service and honestly the best empanadas I’ve had. The flavor was spot on, and great with the sauce. Very glad our friends took us here. Highly recommend checking out Sistrunk and ordering one of everything from Empanada Bodega.

The Yogurt Fruit Bowl combo with the 2 empanadas was the perfect brunch for me. The beef empanada is my favorite! Very tasty and fresh food!

Sistrunk Market Place is a great concept. You seat yourself and scan a QR code unique to your table. Once you do, a menu that is kinda of like the Uber Eats app is pulled up on your phone. You can order from multiple places and pay all together on your phone. We made the mistake of thinking it was like a small plates/try a little of everything type of place and were surprised to see full size portions roll out. You definitely buy more food with this type of set up! We started out strong with the fried pickles that were oh so good. Next, I sampled the chicken quesadilla and while the salsa and elote on the side was good, the quesadilla was ehh and lacking. Next to try was the honey butter chicken biscuit. The biscuit was more like hard bread that crumbled as you ate it. Chicken was a bit overdone and we couldn 't find the honey butter anywhere. For dessert we split a guava and cheese empanada (my absolute favorite thing I ate here) and a very delicious cheesecake crepe. I would definitely give Sistrunk Market another try with some different choices. Also, the vibe was nice. We went on a Friday night so they had a DJ. Atmosphere was loud but chill at the same time.

On my recent visit, I joined my family for brunch and was thrilled to see Henry has moved to this food hall, offering some of the best sandwich options around. I particularly enjoyed the Shady Distillery vodka, especially in a Bloody Mary. They also feature Khoffner brews, which are a nice touch. One of my favorite items to order is the hummus—it’s creamy and absolutely delicious. The food options have changed a bit since they first opened, and it seems that some vendors come and go quite frequently. Every time I visit, I notice a new place has taken over where another one has closed down. Parking can be a bit of a hassle; there are valet services or Asta parking nearby, which can be pricey, but at least there are options available. Overall, it's a great place to relax and offers something for everyone, making it a definite must-visit in Flagler Village.
