The food is actually authentic Greek and though the Greeks have only had about 4,000 years to perfect there recipes, they finally seem to be getting it right. This is not a classy place. Just good food, reasonable prices, nice atmosphere. There are a lot of Greek Restaurants in Lauderdale area, and I'd put this as one of the top 4 for food quality and value. If you've tried all the Greek restaurants like I have, trust me on this, you could easily do a lot worse.
Horiataka salad was amazing but order extra feta. the tzatziki was rich and creamy. I could eat that by the spoonful. The lamb chops were a poor quality, very expensive, and should have been cooked on a higher heat for a good sear to keep the juices in.
I love everything I have order there but their Lamb Chops are out of this world. I normally do not like peas and chariots but the way they prepare theirs is fantastic. To start the meal the Hummus is amazing. I am homebound for now because of a stroke. I can't wait until I am well enough to go there again. I literally live across the street.
Don't bother ordering from here. The food was less than mediocre. The portion size shrank tremendously over the past 6 months. We had the gyro platter and it was not worth the $22 charged for each. The pita was hard and cold, the tzadiki was tasteless. We order from here periodically but will never order from here again. Go to gyroville or gyro grill or even Miami Grill if you want better food.
One of the best places to eat!!! Love it here, so fresh and good!
