First tip: If you look this place up on Google Maps, it may seem like it's out in the middle of the water. Don’t let that deter you; it's worth the short walk to get there. You can access it via the piers right next to the Pier 66 Hotel. I suggest heading to Pier 66 Hotel first, and you'll see signs directing you to the restaurant. We arrived on a Saturday at 12:30 PM and had no trouble finding seating. We got a lovely spot right by the water, enjoying beautiful views of the Stranahan River and the port of Lauderdale. I highly recommend sitting on the water for the full experience. VIBES: The waterfront atmosphere is incredibly relaxing. FOOD: My friend and the waitress both recommended the fish tacos, so that’s what I went with. The menu isn't huge (which I appreciate), but it has a good selection of seafood options—perfect for South Florida—as well as some meat dishes. The fish tacos come with two in an order, featuring generous pieces of fish topped with cabbage slaw and pickled veggies. The accompanying sauce was also quite good. You have the option to choose fries, sweet potatoes, or a side salad. Given my indulgent eating the week prior, I didn't expect much from the side salad, anticipating something basic with romaine and a few tomatoes. However, I was pleasantly surprised! The salad had a base of mixed greens, seasoned cashews, mango, and shredded coconut, all drizzled with mango vinaigrette. WOW! I know it might seem like an unpopular choice to order a side salad—especially since I rarely do when dining out—but I highly recommend it! All in all, the meal was filling, and I have quite the appetite. Next time I'm in Fort Lauderdale, I will definitely return to Pelican Landing.
Fantastic food and stunning views! Happy hour is every day from 2 PM to 6 PM, offering half-price house wines, premium liquors, and all beers! The tacos are exceptional, and don't miss out on the fries! Parking is free—just bring your parking card to the restaurant and ask your server or bartender to validate it. This place is a hidden gem in Fort Lauderdale! I highly recommend giving it a try. If you’re visiting on the weekend, I suggest making a reservation, as it gets quite busy with live music.
Unique location, spectacular view, good food on the intracoastal. Super friendly and friendly staff, every time. Finding a little tricky if you're not out of the area, you just have to go to the end of the pier. Upstairs is not accessible, there is a steep staircase on the side of the building. The location is so spectacular, it can even make a bad day good. It feels like eating on the upper level of a super yacht! Make sure you have validated your parking card from the waitress or waiter.
The food was great and our server Alexa was amazing. She was doing it all. The bartender called off so it was just her and the chef. She did such a great job with a full patio and all with a smile on. We will definitely be back. It's worth noting that there is a very large Yacht that does block your view of the waterway so your view may vary. Good happy hour with half off wine, beer, and cocktails from 3 I believe until 6. It would have been a 5 if we would have had a better view.
