Phat Boy Sushi - Fort Lauderdale

Great atmosphere, lively. The food quality itself was great. Chef's choice is where it is. Eating quickly came as the crowd of people eat. The service was fine. A little slow to the finish. It took a while to finish.

The tuna tare was absolutely delicious, though the seven-tone accompaniment was a bit too fatty and stale for my taste. The shishito peppers were fantastic! Unfortunately, several members of our party, including a 4-year-old and two adults, fell ill with stomach issues about 2-8 hours after eating the dumplings, so it seems we might have gotten a bad batch. On a positive note, the ramen was superb, and all the rolls were great as well. The hand roll had beautiful pieces of tuna, but unfortunately, it lacked flavor overall, ending with a rather overwhelming spicy powder kick. Our server was incredibly polite, charming, and very attentive. Despite the hiccups, I would still recommend giving them a try and would consider returning.

"Everything is consistently fresh here. I could eat the cucumber rolls all day! The hamachi and fried pig dog are fantastic, and the salads are refreshing. The bar is well-stocked, and the bartenders are easy on the eyes. The restrooms are clean, which is a big plus. The food is always top-notch, and the mushrooms are especially impressive. The service is excellent, although the Volcano Roll I had was a bit on the cold side. The tequila was delightful—thank goodness for the bar!"

I visited Phat Boy Sushi for the first time, and it was a fantastic experience. The restaurant is conveniently located near my old house, which makes it a new favorite spot for me. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food was excellent, especially the ramen! We definitely plan to return.

This was our first visit to the new location and it didn’t disappoint. Beautiful space inside and they have outdoor covered seating. We made it in time for the happy hour specials and enjoyed the Salmon Sushi and White Miso Salmon from that menu along with sushi from the regular menu. We plan to go again and try out the ramen and hot dishes.
