A server came over to take our orders. I couldn’t hear/understand anything he said. We all ordered water and got that quickly. The server came back to place our food orders. We waited about 15 minutes and the people behind us who arrived about 5-10 minutes after us received their food. They also asked for changes to their order and received additional assistance. The first person in my party’s lemon blueberry pancakes arrived. The plate was missing the tofu scramble she asked for, so he took the plate back, nudged over the pancakes and added about 1-2 tablespoons of tofu scramble and brought it back out. She tasted it and immediately said it had too much turmeric and it tasted awful. The next person ordered the breakfast burrito, which was essentially a tortilla filled with the same tofu scramble. He had asked for chorizo and avocado to be added to his wrap. He was given a plain wrap. The people behind us must have gotten his wrap. When he reminded the server that he asked for the additions, the server just stared blankly at him. So me and my partner both ordered the lumberjack platter. After waiting nearly half an hour, we finally asked the server if our food was coming. He said it was ready and he’d grab it in a second. He then got something else for the table behind us. Finally after waiting what felt like forever, we finally got our food. It was cold, as if it’d been sitting forgotten about for quite some time. It was bland and the portions were small. I was expecting a hearty delicious meal based on the name, “Lumberjack Platter”. I ate it only out of courtesy. The food was palatable after adding tobacco sauce. Also, my blueberry lemon pancakes had no lemon and tasted heavily of banana. The final disappointment was when the server refuses to split the bill because we were at “one table”.
Love happy **** to show me the way! this place has delicious vegan empanadas at the mealtimes. sat for breakfast and started with empanadas! flaky and tasty! I have the broken tofu with toast. Interestingly, the toast is served dry. they have no jams. but eating was nice.
I ate in this facility a few times before and that was decent. last week I had a crazy experience that made me a owner and unfortunately I never received an answer so that I post here to warn others. on Monday I called the restaurant at 3 o'clock to place a very simple pickup order for a hummus and falafel wrap, I ran late on my way to work and thought this would be the fastest healthy vegan option I had. the man I told myself that it is finished in 15 minutes, perfect! I arrived about 35 minutes later and was told that my eating was not ready yet. I told him I couldn't wait when I ran late for work and it was more than twice the time I was quoted. the kerl looked behind him and saw one kist and told me that it was actually mine. I thought it was a bit strange, but was happy to have eaten so I paid for it and went. When he called me, he says kicherbsenschleuse, which I just assumed, was another name for the hummusschleuse (because hummus consists of kicherbsen) when I opened the kiste to eat my lunch, it was the wrong order. I tried it and it didn't like it at all, it was cheeky in a kind of dressing in a pack. I called back the restaurant and after about 15 minutes the same took up the phone. I told him I got the wrong order, and his answer was that it was my fault and said I had a attitude. I was completely shocked with which I was spoken to this wise! I asked him for a refund and he refused. he told me to come back and I told him I was working at midnight, so unless he could wait until then I would not be in the position. he refused to give me his name after asking several times. obviously this person is in the wrong industry and gives the restaurant a terrible name. I hope the owner sees this and fixes the problem. I was still charged today because of the wrong food I didn't eat and then it was cursed that it was my fault. completely unacceptable!
Breakfast and lunch served all day. Great options and many things are cheaper than most of the vegan spots we have tried on this trip.
I love this little place. The owners/chefs seem really committed to organic, fresh, and diversity in their menu.
