While eating there we saw several big name football stars, at first I was impressed, but after getting our steak, I crashed back to reality, a tougher steak I 've never had, just about at this point. I recalled riding the water taxi last year and the boat driver pointing Shula 's out as the worst steak in Ft. Lauderdale and asking if anyone wanted to get off, no one did, Live and learn. I wish I had heeded his warning, I went there to eat, not to be impressed by football stars.
If your are looking for a good place to eat in a fine dining environment, this is a place. Across Fort Lauderdale Beach, kids friendly, nice menu, fish, steak are very good, (some fat in the steak, but it’s nothing), happy atmosphere. You must have a reservation there and they are usually on time.
Having visited Fort Lauderdale Beach many times, this is my favorite restaurant there. I 'm not sure how a previous reviewer can say that their bill for two was well over $150 with no desserts and only one glass of wine. Our bill was considerably less. Also, the valet parking guys were busy, but we didn 't have a problem parking. Shula 's has an enjoyable atmosphere and superb food with a location in the Sheraton Yankee Clipper Hotel directly across from the beach. I 've eaten there twice and look forward to dining there again.
We were in town and thought we would dine out at a nice place. We looked it up on this site and made reservations. When we arrived the parking was difficult to say the least but not impossible. The table was ready at the exact time we made the reservations and the location across from the ocean was nice. The food was very good. Overall the only negative thing I could say was that it was very pricey. Well over $150 with no deserts and 1 glass of wine, plus the tip. We did not have the signature meal just one of the middle of the road. Nice place but not worth the money in my book.
