The Capital Grille - Fort Lauderdale

Here for dinner celebrating our wedding anniversary. Been here before and it is right on every time. Service is great as is the food. When I made the reservation I said it was our anniversary and when we were seated there was little red hearts sprinkled on the table and a greeting card. Our meal consisted of 2 glasses of wine, a salad with crab meat, mango and avocado, a 24 oz. porterhouse steak which we split , asparagus and potatoes Au gratin enough for two and a hot bread basket with butter. Perfectly cooked and great flavor. We thought we were finished but then came the FREE champagne for a toast and a 2 dessert plate with Happy Anniversary written in chocolate in the center. Then the server Troy took our picture and came back and gave us the printed picture and a red rose to my wife. We topped it all off with cappuccinos. If you valet your car, give your server the parking stub and he will give you a voucher for free parking. An 8.00 value. Total cost minus tip was 120.00.. We will be back..

A wonderful first class dining experience in a cozy dark paneled room. We had lunch and can't say enough about the incredible lobster salad and the calamari dish. Truly superb. They had a large party of chatty ladies (microphone and all) in the day we went to lunch, but we could have asked for seats in a more private area had we wished to do so. Despite that noise level inconvenience I can't wait to revisit the Captial Grille again (and again).

If I told you all the things that were wrong I would be here all night. It was pitiful. The waitresses although inept were very friendly. I had to send everything I ordered back. It was pathetic.

It was OK, not all the hype. I've eaten at better steak houses and have been happier.

By far the best Calamari and excellent meat in Florida. The other one is in Orlando. MUST EAT the CALAMARI and meat.
