Tropical Smoothie Cafe

This is my first time writing a review. I wanted to try something different, so I stopped by this restaurant. When I tasted my drink after receiving my order, it was awful. I returned to the counter to check the ingredients, and before I could say anything, the woman who made my drink went to manager Maria to tell her that I didn't like it. Maria's response was dismissive; she said, "That’s his problem, and if he wants another drink, he'll have to pay for it because I’m not dealing with any customers today—I’ve had a long day." The customer service from Maria, the manager, was terrible and reflects poorly on the company. I honestly don’t understand how someone with such a negative attitude is still employed. I ended up handing the drink back and told them to throw it away, then I went next door to Nature Remedy, where I enjoyed excellent smoothies and fantastic customer service.

I took my sister to this restaurant since she had never been to one before. She ordered the Caribbean jerk chicken and absolutely loved it. She also tried the watermelon mojito smoothie and was thrilled with it. She mentioned that she definitely wants to come back again!

My boyfriend and I ordered our usual Island Green smoothie, and when it arrived just two minutes after we placed our order, I sensed there would be trouble. The young blonde cashier had a terrible attitude while taking our order, and she was also the one preparing the drinks, so I knew there would be issues. My boyfriend didn't like his drink but didn't want to deal with any further problems. As for me, I found the smoothie to be bland, almost like drinking water with chunks. There was no flavor or balance at all. When I mentioned this, the cashier rudely suggested adding more bananas instead of remaking it. It took her three attempts to fix it because she refused to start from scratch; instead, she kept adding to a drink that wasn’t right to begin with. Then she had the audacity to yell at me, saying, “This is how the Island Green tastes, and if you don’t like it, don’t order it!” It was absurd. I absolutely do not recommend this location, especially for returning customers. This experience will make you never want to go back to Tropical Smoothie again.

The staff at 1851 Cordova rd Fort Lauderdale, FL are beyond rude. My quesadilla was burnt and they gave me attitude because I didn?t want a burnt meal. I asked for a refund because after their horrible customer service I didn?t want them to make another meal. They did not want to issue me a refund. They said the manager wasn?t present to complete refund. As I repeatedly asked for the manager name they refused to share it with me. While I am talking to them they completely turn their back to me as if no one was talking to them and the cashier proceeded to take someone behind me while I am standing right in front of her .Very rude, I have never been treated like this at a fast food restaurant. I still haven?t received a refund for my order. I left the entire order on the counter and no one has returned my money yet !!!

The staff here really ruin the experience. You walk in the door and the lights are off. It's quiet, hot unwelcoming. The employees take an awkward amount of time to acknowledge you even when you're the only customer in the store. And when they do acknowledge you it's by staring at you until you start talking and saying what you need. I've been waiting in line before and see them toss someone's order on the mini fridge. Another time I was standing waiting at the counter for my food and the cook holds it in one hand and then proceeds to clean the counters and put away food and items with her other hand.... every time I ordered the same food it was made differently (little rice tons of beans; no sauce or tons of sauce). These experiences have happened about 10 times before I decided to stop coming here
