Rae’s on the Beach - Fort Myers Beach

My wife and I enjoyed our dinner at Rae’s this evening. I had the grouper and she had chicken parmesan. We were there during sunset and the view is incredible. Usually when I go to a restaurant for the first time, I can find a half dozen things I would do differently. However, in the case of Rae’s, there is only one thing, the music. Background music, which was modern pop songs. I think they would do much better to have Italian music.

We had a very enjoyable dinner at this restaurant. The food was excellent and the view at sunset was fabulous. The service was quick and the food arrived promptly. I do wish that our waiter had introduced himself, as I would like to compliment him by name.

The service at this restaurant was mediocre. The hostess was unfriendly and our server was not attentive. However, the quality of the food was better than expected.

After a disappointing experience with service in December, we decided to give this restaurant another chance, and it seems like many others did as well. We expressed our concerns, and the food service manager completely agreed. This time, the service was excellent, prompt, and the food was delicious.

Service was slow and the price of the food was too high for the ambiance of the restaurant. It was a mediocre environment with high prices.
