Sunflower Cafe - Fort Myers Beach

Pleasantly surprising! I was on Sanibel heading back to Fort Myers and thought today would be a good day for a nice breakfast. Should I stop on Sanibel at some of my go to breakfast places or venture to find something new? I found that ?something new?! And I was pleasantly surprised! I walked in and was greeted right away! Very hospitable. Very welcoming and comfortable ambiance as well. I was taken to my table and my server Dianne asked if I would like a drink to which I ordered coffee. It was a typical restaurant coffee. Good. After a bit my waitress Dianne took my order. Meat lovers Omelette with Grits and a pancake. I chose these because I knew I?d be doing the Google review. The food came out very quickly. Very large portions! Great if your stopping in for a quick breakfast! The omelette was stuffed with meat! Not overly cheesy, cooked a little to long but I still enjoyed the flavors. The grits were very good! Very creamy and hot! Probably some of the best I?ve had including from other higher end restaurants. The pancake was fluffy and enjoyable. I really liked the flavor of the batter. This was a very nice breakfast and reasonably priced. $12.99. The restaurant is very clean from exterior to the restrooms. I must again give a shout out to my waitress Dianne. She was very hospitable and attentive. Ask for her if you go, to which you should definitely visit and enjoy a nice fresh hot breakfast.

I have now been here for breakfast and dinner. Great selections and both times had excellent food. Great prices! The breakfast skillets are WAY better than Perkins. The Caesar salad was so good! Nice leafy green lettuce and if that dressing (AMAZING)wasn?t homemade I?d be surprised. Our servers have all been pleasant and the restaurant and tables are clean. And it?s close to home!

Always excellent, appetizing, down home cooking, for breakfast, lunch or dinner! Don't forget to try their homemade desserts! They have the best carrot cake, I've ever eaten, but all are beyond delicious! ???? Beautiful, clean friendly surroundings. Great family owners staff!

Busy place! Felt very uncomfortable seeing so many old folks unmasked entering this place. Hoped they were all vaccinated! Most of the staff were masked, some wearing masks as chin straps. Most of the management were not masked either. The service from our server was perfect, she was polite, attentive and unfortunately we didn't get her name. Was told she was new. Food was well done. The toast was over buttered and dripping which I did not appreciate. The coconut french toast was excellent, recommend it if you like coconut.

Ok gonna have to say that my 'Bourbon ' Pork Loin was the best I have ever had... Tender, and absolutely the perfect combination of moisture and flavor I have ever had in the 'other white meat '. At under 17.00 it was for me a bargain over any other meat choice available anywhere that could hold a candle. I love this 'diner ' feel but the menu is top class. Really a wonderful meal, excellent service and complete satisfaction can be expected.
