If you are looking for a restaurant that serves the best Gator bits, you must come here! My fiancée and I wanted to try something new, so we came here. The Gator nachos were so good that we ate it so fast I forgot to make a picture of it. A must! My fiancée had the gator quesadillas and as you can see in the picture it was fire! Lmao! Our waitress and staff were very friendly and service was great.
Attention all tourists: In any case, come to this place to taste an exotic Floridian Gator meat! Most places serve only the Gator bites, which is only small, fried pieces of Gator tail. But this place has other things like a gator Philly roll, gator quesadilla, gator nachos, gator burger. Of course they have other things like chicken, beef, fish. The Gator Philly was delicious The flesh itself is a Ted-Cauy because it is an alligator. Very tasteful but. The Gator Burger cannot really taste the alligator, but again it was very well seasoned and delicious. Very big portions. Our entrees all came with curly pommes and house diving sauce, which had a bit of a kick to him, and it has perfectly paired with our spiced curly pommes. The Maki sandwich was a little too fish, but it was a good fish plate. Our server was very helpful and friendly, the place was clean, and they removed the sitting parties for social distancing, which was good. Overall, a great experience would recommend. I have to say ... this may be a best kept secret ??? Does anyone know that the BURGERS here are actually AMAZING? I 'm traveling always try to experience things I can only get where I am on the road. In Florida, so OK, Gator Bites. But it was long day I caved in for comfort food ... a burger. I wasn 't expecting much. But what I got was GREAT! Better than Five Guys, Red Robin, or ANY other joint I 've ever been to. The magic was all in the patty. Just order a plain cheeseburger here you should not be disappointed. Wow! (I never rave or ramble like this in a review ... but it was THAT good.
GatorBites Tail and Ale is a great place for eats and fun. We were there Saturday evening about 7. The place was hopping. Live music and a standing room only crowd inside waiting for a table to open. We opted for outside. We went away for Mother's Day weekend and GatorBites was walking distance from our hotel. The outside was spacious and clean. If it weren't for the table of 5 smoking like it was their job, it would have been perfect. We always bring Riley with us when traveling. Riley is our 13 year old Mini Labradoddle. When it's time to get going, he's like an old man on bingo night. First out the door to our truck. These days he requires a boost up, but he rip raring ready to lay in the back seat and get moving. And Yes, he has his own seatbelt and always wears it like the rest of us. The food was terrific. My wife and her Mom had some kind of fish dinner with all the fixings. Me, I don't eat meat or fish, so I ordered the onion rings and loaded potato skins. Both of these sides were plenty enough for the whole table to share and the best I've ever had. Crunchy, not greasy. The skins were loaded with melted cheese and came with more than enough sour cream for every bite. The prices were up there, but compared with the other places to eat, it was a bargain. So if you enjoy really good food, music and inside and outdoor seating, go to GatorBites.
